Who knew great wifi could be such a breeze to set up?
We recommend using BaseLink wireless connection technology to set up Milo. If you don't want to wire Milo to your router, you can download the app for wireless setup instructions.
If you don't have the app, or if you want to use Ethernet to connect Milo to your router instead, here's how you do it.
Wired setup requirements
you will need:
Milo base (1)
3-foot Ethernet cable (1)
Step One: Set up the base.
Make sure your modem or router is powered on. Then, connect the base to it using the Ethernet cord.
Using the power cord, plug the base into an available power outlet. The blue light shows when Milo is powered on.
The green light will glow solid for about 10 seconds, and then flash with the amber light as Milo initiates for set-up. Once a connection is found, the green light will glow solid.
If the light does not illuminate, there was a problem connecting. Check that your modem/router is powered on, has an Internet connection, and that the base is connected to it via Ethernet.
Step Two: Add the points.
Plug in the first point to an outlet up to 40 feet away from the base. The green light will glow solid and then flash with the amber light as Milo initiates and searches for a connection. This may take several minutes.
If an excellent connection is found, the green light glows solid. If a good connection is found, the amber light will glow solid.
If neither light illuminates, there was a problem connecting. Try moving the point closer to the base or place another somewhere in between, until the green or amber light glows solid.
Repeat this step for any remaining points.
Step Three: Connect to the network.
Find the default network name and passcode located on the bottom of the Milo. On your device’s wifi settings, select the network name and enter the passcode to connect.
If you would like to change the default network name and password, you will need to download the Milo Wifi app.
That's it! Enjoy your shiny new wifi.
