As long as you have a modem that Milo can be plugged in to, you are free to ditch your router.
However, we actually recommend holding on to your router if you have one—especially if you spent a pretty penny for a super fast one. Why? Because it doesn't hurt your connection at all--in fact, keeping it around can only help your wifi connection.
Milo works by automatically selecting the best channel at any given time to bring you the fastest, most stable speeds. If you're sitting near your super-fast old router while it's connected to Milo, that means Milo will select a channel on your router for your signal. So you have full access to those super-fast speeds you paid for in your router.
In a nutshell, your router and Milo work together to bring you an even more amazing wifi experience.
